Not quite! The new ELDT rules lay out three training steps before you can roll up to your CDL Skills Exam:
Theory Training - That's what we've got covered!
Road Training - Hands-on driving with a CDL school.
Range Training - Backing practice (also at a CDL school).
Before you book that CDL exam, check with your local training provider to make sure all your results are logged in the FMCSA TPR Portal —no one wants a paperwork holdup when they're ready to hit the road!Almost-our ELDT training is recognized in 49 states (everywhere except Washington). We cover the Theory portion per FMCSA CFR 380, so you're on the right track.
For extra measures, you can call to check with your local CDL office, since some states might have extra hoops to jump through before you can roll up to your CDL exam.
That's up to you! Some folks knock it out in a day, while others take a couple of weeks. You're in the driver's seat-pause, your progress is saved, pick up right where you left off whenever you're ready.
No rush, no stress, just keep that engine running!
As soon as you crush the course with an 80% or higher, you'll be asked to double-check your info. Once you hit submit, your results get sent straight to the FMCSA Database.
After that, your Certificate of Completion pops up, ready for download. Save it, stash it, or print it so it's ready to present if needed!
We fire off your results within 15 minutes, but it might take up to 24 hours for your state to process them. Once you hit that "Submit" button, your info goes straight to the FMCSA Database-that's where the DMV checks your records. • Heads up! If your details don't match your license exactly, the DMV won't find your results. Double-check your info before submitting to avoid any holdups. Once vou've completed all three training steps-Theory (ours), Road, and Range - you're clear to schedule your final state CDL exam!

What is Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT)?
Since February 2022, all applicants for a CDL license must complete ELDT before they can take the CDL driving skills exam.
ELDT includes two parts:
1. Theory – This can be done here online or in person in a classroom. Online training saves you time and money and is more consistent than in-person training.
2. Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) – Hands-on, in-vehicle training must be completed at a registered provider before you take your CDL driving skills exam.
